Fire Department

The Jacksonville, Georgia Fire Department is an all volunteer department serving the City of Jacksonville, Georgia and surrounding area. We currently have an ISO rating of 6/6X. Our department provides fire suppression, technical rescue and assists Telfair EMS as First Responders to medical calls in our area. Our fire department works in close cooperation with our police department and several of our Police Officers are cross-trained as Firefighters. We have a good working relationship with all local fire departments in our surrounding areas and routinely provide mutual aid support when requested.

We are currently seeking volunteers for the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire/Rescue Department. Give back to your community by volunteering with our Fire/Rescue department. Training and equipment is provided at no charge. We do pay a small stipend to cover the cost of fuel/mileage for each call that our volunteers respond to.
